The Faculty of Expert Witnesses recognises varying levels of medico-legal expertise and professional development:

• Associate Member – awarded to doctors with a Medico-Legal CV listed on their profile.
• Member – awarded to doctors who have completed approved expert witness training in addition to maintaining a Medico-Legal CV.
• Fellow – the highest level of FEW membership, awarded where an anonymised sample report has been independently reviewed by a solicitor and confirmed to be CPR-compliant and of a high professional standard.
