Consultants Locator Back
SEARCH OPTIONS
|
Here at SpecialistInfo we have taken on board feedback from our users and as a result we have created a new search facility on the database. You can now search quickly and easily by:
- Name
- Town
- Location (postcode and distance)

NAME
|
With this option you can search for Consultants by surname. For example if you type in Dundas and click on the search tick, this will display a table of all Consultants across all specialties with the surname Dundas. You can narrow the search down if you know the first name or initial of the Consultant. You can narrow the search even further if you know the specialty of the Consultant that you are trying to locate. For example, type in Dundas in the surname field and select Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the drop down list of all Specialities, then click on the search tick.
Each of these searches will lead you to a results table of names that fit your search criteria. You can then click on the Consultant name and it will take you to their individual profile page.

TOWN

This allows you to find Consultants within a specific town. For example if you wanted an ENT Surgeon in Harrogate, you can type in Harrogate and select ENT from the drop down specialty list and click on the search tick. It will bring out a table of ENT Consultants in Harrogate. You can then click on an individual name to be taken to their full profile page.
Alternatively, if you know that a certain Consultant's name and town but you don't have his or her full contact details, you can type in their last name and the town concerned and then click on the search tick. This will bring out that Consultant and you can then go to their profile page to see their full details.
NB You cannot just type in a town and click on the search tick. You must also select a specialty (not "all specialties") and / or a name.

LOCATION

The Consultant locator enables you to find a doctor within a certain distance of a postcode. For example - you needed to find a Radiologist in Leeds, you would first of all select Radiology from the drop down list. Then in the postcode box you can enter a full postcode such as LS1 3EX (or just the first part - LS1) and then in the distance box enter the number of miles between 1 and 500 (the default is 10 miles). Whatever number you type in the system will then search for Consultants in that specialty within the specified distance of the postcode you have entered. It will then display a table of Consultants and you can click on a name and it will take you to their individual profile page.
